The Erie Square Gazette, or “ESG,” is an independent news source that has been operating within St. Clair County Community College since 1931. Our staff strives to cover anything that could be considered student interest, reporting on various subjects on campus and throughout the community.
The Gazette is completely student-run, with the majority of the writers being a part of the Journalism Practicum class (CM 110). However, we accept guest writers on a regular basis.
Regular meetings are 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 122 of the Main Building every Thursday in the fall and winter semesters. These meetings are open to any student who is interested in participating with the paper. Production nights at the Gazette are every other Monday and Tuesday.
