Triforce turns 25

Are you a “Legend of Zelda” fan? Well you’re in for a treat.

If you own a DSi or 3DS you can download “Legend of Zelda: Four Swords” for free for a mouth, starting on Sept. 28.

What is the reason for Nintendo’s uncharacteristic give away? Why, as you may have gathered from the headline, this year is the twenty-fifth anniversary of the “Legend of Zelda,” and Nintendo has a few things planned.

The whole celebration was kicked off at this year’s E3 with the lion share of their keynote given over to the Zelda franchise. The keynote included a more in depth demo of the new game, “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.”

It was also revealed that included with the game will be an orchestral CD containing a song from the game “Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.”

If you want something on the more practical side, there will also be a special Zelda wiimote to go along with the newest game.

Whether you are new to the franchise, or an old veteran, there is something for everyone. It must be said for being 25 in videogame years; Link and Zelda have aged fantastically.
