The smell of the buttery popcorn, the sounds of crackling candy wrappers, slurping straws and squeaky chairs, ah the sounds and smell of the cinema. Everyone loves a good movie, and this summer there were plenty of them. From action to drama, and comedies to thrillers, there was a movie for all audiences.
Since there were so many movies that came out this summer, it may be hard to decipher which ones were the most interesting to see.
A survey was conducted in the student center where 15 students were asked what their top three favorite summer movies were; “Bad Teacher,” “Horrible Bosses,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stanger Tides,” “Cowboys and Aliens,” and “Thor” were a few popular movies that came up. But, the three top movies that kept reoccurring in the polls were “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,” “Captain America” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
What made these three movies stand out more than the others? Could it be the blast from the past superhero that fights to defend our country? How about the riveting ending to a favorite wizard and his journey? Or perhaps the giant robots and explosions? All three of these movies seemed to appeal to all audiences, young and old.
Moviegoers always appreciate a good movie and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,” “Captain America,” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” stand and deliver.
